Gah! is a fast-paced roguelike action game built around short combat sprints and gradual character progression. The player battles through procedurally generated levels across various worlds, defeating enemies, collecting rewards, and returning to the hub village to upgrade their abilities and prepare for the next Purgatory challenge. Trials of Purgatory Each run is a series of arenas with a dense stream of enemies and dangerous bosses. The choice of hero determines the combat style, and weapons include melee, ranged, magic, and firearms. As you progress, your character temporarily gains power, but defeat ends the run and returns you to the hub. Progress is saved between runs and used for ongoing upgrades. Buffs that increase survivability and damage are unlocked in the village, and each victory brings rewards. Repeated attempts are encouraged, turning failures into growth tools and allowing for gradual progression through the challenge chain.
