Floating Life 2 – a Chinese xianxia sandbox RPG from Heart Stream Studio. The game entered early access in February 2023, with the full version released in late October of the same year. The protagonist follows the path of a cultivator, from a junior disciple of a sect to its leader. Disciple of the Outer Gate At the beginning, you determine your character's attributes yourself, after which you enter the lowest rank of the sect. Outer Gate disciples handle chores, and only with increasing rank do they gain power: distributing tasks among disciples, managing them, negotiating with other sects, and expanding their territory. Skills are learned by worshiping different sects, so each character's skill set develops differently. Along the way, there are also familiar milestones, such as the test of forming a golden core and flying a sword. Wasteland and Tianyuan State The world consists of two large maps: the Ancient Wasteland and the state of Tianyuan. You can travel freely between towns, and villages issue quests that evolve along with the story. Hidden somewhere are secret dungeons with powerful enemies and treasures. You can communicate with characters, trade, befriend them, or attack them, steal, and provoke them. Towns boast an alchemy workshop, a tavern, and a forge where you can forge equipment, while the arena offers betting on spirit beast battles. The main story is complemented by approximately 300 random events and 30 side stories, with a text volume of approximately 200 words. Fight in turns Combat is turn-based. Skills can be freely combined and arranged in the desired order, creating chains. Weapons and artifacts include five types of cultist swords, gourds, banners, mirrors, and demonic pills.
