About the game

False Echo is a narrative thriller inspired by the mechanics of Papers, Please, set aboard a secret submarine during a world war. The crew is completely isolated from the outside world, and their primary tool is the Obscura, a machine designed to process incoming messages. The fate of the information depends on the accuracy of each decryption, as every decision affects not only the course of events but also the attitude of those around them toward the operator. Between orders and messages The process begins with processing incoming signals using the Obscura system. To obtain results, rotors must be configured, cables connected, equipment synchronized, and messages prepared for further verification. After decryption, the ECHO system takes over, assigning each message a "TRUE" or "FALSE" status. The difficulty lies in the fact that directives are constantly changing, individual orders begin to contradict each other, and the acceptable version of events is determined solely by the requirements of the current regime. The situation inside the submarine grows increasingly tense as the story unfolds. Conversations between crew members are fraught with mistrust, suspicion, and constant contradictions, making any action likely to attract unwanted attention. Decisions made influence the course of dialogue, subsequent events, and one of several possible endings, creating their own chain of consequences throughout the campaign. Features of the game Working with the Obscura machine and signal processing. Classification of messages via the ECHO system. Constantly changing rules and directives. Several endings depending on decisions.
