Enigma of Fear – a paranormal detective game from the Brazilian studio Dumativa, developed in collaboration with streamer Cellbit and set in his Ordem Paranormal universe. The game, released on November 28, 2024, combines pixelated characters with 3D environments and dynamic lighting. Mia, Lupi and the Missing Father Young detective Mia is searching for her father. He was one of the best agents of the Ordo Realitas, an organization that investigates paranormal cases, and has disappeared without a trace. His trail leads to the Perimeter, a place that supposedly doesn't exist. Other agents of the order have also disappeared there, and the Cult of Fear is behind it all. Mia is accompanied by her dog, Lupi, and he's not just for show: after dangerous encounters with the supernatural, he helps the heroine come to her senses and restore her sanity. Clues and a mind map The main tool here is deduction. The perimeter is open for exploration, and you decide where to go next, so the progression is non-linear. There are dozens of clues: documents, evidence, puzzles, devices. What you find is compiled into Mia's mental map, where facts are verified and connected. If you get lost, you can contact your partners: hacker Samuel and occultist Agatha will provide guidance or remind you of details. Fight or hide Paranormal creatures and bosses also exist in the Perimeter, and the player has the choice: engage in combat or sneak past unnoticed. The music adapts to the on-screen action. The game has been well-received: over 95% positive reviews out of several thousand on Steam, and an 85 on Metacritic. It requires 8 GB of memory and 25 GB of disk space, and can be downloaded.
