About the game
Dreams on a Pillow is a story-driven adventure with elements of stealth and puzzles, inspired by Palestinian folk history and the events of the Nakba of 1948. The player controls a young woman named Khadra, who, after an attack on her hometown, is forced to flee, leaving behind her home, family, and life. She carries only a pillow — a strange symbol of safety and the only thing she clings to throughout her journey. The pillow here affects not only the story, but also the passage itself. While Khadra carries her, movement becomes more difficult, and some obstacles become genuine challenges. But as soon as she leaves the pillow behind for freedom of movement, the game begins to change: nightmares, frightening images, and distorted visions appear, reflecting the heroine's inner fear and experiences. Because of this, almost every decision becomes a choice between safety and what lurks within her own memories. Some scenes take you back in time, before the catastrophe. Instead of war and flight, the game depicts ordinary life: olive groves, home-cooked meals, wells, streets, and the everyday details of Palestinian cities. This makes the story feel much more intense — the game first gives you a sense of life as it once was, and then gradually shows how it all begins to disappear. Features of the game A story about the events of the Nakba of 1948. Stealth and puzzles. Transitions between reality, dreams and nightmares. Scenes of peaceful life before the disaster.
