About the game
Crococo is a first-person psychological horror game where the urban legend of crocodiles in the New York sewers ceases to be a tale for bored tourists. Boris, a first-class sewer cleaner, is trying to start his life anew after the death of his wife, but an old acquaintance asks him to do a simple job underground. The generator is malfunctioning, people have disappeared, the ventilation is clogged with shit — it sounds like a normal shift, until something huge starts moving in the darkness. The work is dirty, the fear is real The descent into the sewers quickly turns into a mixture of nightmare, black comedy, and a bad decision made for money. Narrow tunnels press in from all sides, pipes groan, water splashes somewhere, and every new turn makes Boris regret that he ever took the job. Here, he must repair equipment, make his way through stinking technical rooms, and try to figure out where the workers have disappeared to, while the ancient legend draws ever closer. The atmosphere is reminiscent of 1990s horror and action films: crude humor, monophonic translation, dirty walls, heavy sound, and the feeling of a tape found in a strange neighbor's attic. Behind the obscene bravado and absurdity, Boris's personal story gradually emerges, where loss, fatigue, and fear mingle with something too sharp for a typical sewer. Features of the game A first-person psychological horror with black humor. New York City sewers, claustrophobia and urban legend. The aesthetics of horror and action films of the nineties. A huge alligator, a dirty job and a dark personal history.
