Brink Of Death – an asymmetrical first-person survival horror from the indie studio VormirGames. A group of survivors attempts to depower the Killer who is hunting them, while dead players remain in the match and continue to assist the living as spirits. Five stuffed animals The Killer's power rests on his effigies. Each destroyed effigy weakens him, and if all five are destroyed, the survivors win. This must be done against the clock, while simultaneously finding items hidden throughout the map. The torch plays a key role, and supplies must be used wisely. The Killer and the Torture Tables The Killer has his own abilities, unavailable to the Survivors. He wounds those he captures, places them on torture tables, and leaves them for dead. Rescuing a comrade is possible, but it requires stealth: there's plenty of cover on the map, and you'll have to use it constantly. Each rescue takes time, which is already in short supply, so the team constantly chooses between saving a friend and hunting for the dummy. Death is just the beginning A dead player becomes a spirit. Their job after death is to carry fire to the survivors, so even a premature defeat remains useful to the team. You can play solo or in four-player online co-op. The game is intended for adults and contains violent scenes. A full Steam release has not yet been released, but a demo and closed beta testing are available upon request.
