About the game
Before Exit: Supermarket — is an anti-simulator where the logic of work turns into a nightmare. At first, you're simply filling out checklists, but reality begins to unravel. The task system breaks down, interfaces become confusing, and shelves change shape. Everything becomes meaningless. Labor as an illusion of control The instructions become absurd: turn off the lights that aren't on; count the shelves that aren't there. The sounds from the speakers are distorted, time freezes, and reports print themselves. At the end of your shift, you're unsure whether you exist or if the store itself is just imagining you. There's no victory here, only cycles. You complete tasks to make them reappear. The gameplay system explores the boundary between automation and madness. This isn't a horror game, but a philosophical metaphor for the meaninglessness of labor, where order and chaos are only distinguishable on paper. Features of the game Experimental gameplay with self-destructive mechanics. A surreal environment that changes with every action. Themes of alienation, cyclicality and technological burnout. Minimalistic visual style with distorted interface logic.
