Standard tower defense is only part of the story: a kingdom needs an economy, an army, and a willingness to confront the enemy head-on. Walls and seven towers Enemies attack your fortifications in waves, and the first line of defense is built from towers. There are seven types of towers, each with its own role, and each can be upgraded to level three. Placing the same towers everywhere isn't possible: each tower has a different purpose, and their placement must be tailored to the specific terrain. Maps differ in their environments, so tactics for one don't always translate to another. Not just defense Distinction Battle of Kings Unlike many games in this genre, defense alone isn't enough. The kingdom needs income, and that income is used to recruit and upgrade its own army. Once the troops are ready, they can be sent against the enemy and routed in the open. For this, there's a separate versus mode where you simultaneously defend your walls, develop your economy, and attack. The campaign is more classic: defend your castle and complete missions one after another. Fighting with people In addition to single-player, there's an online PvP mode where you can play against friends or random opponents. The same factors play a role: tower placement, money management, and timing the attack. The requirements are very modest: 2 GB of memory, a GeForce 9600 GT-class graphics card, and a gigabyte of disk space, so downloading is easy.
