About the game
ANLIFE is a minimalist evolution simulator where blocky creatures clumsily navigate a physical environment. There are no complex ecosystems or elaborate predator-prey chains — just a simple survival model and the ability to observe how forms gradually evolve. The world resembles a tiny garden, existing for the process, not the outcome. Crawl, fall, try again The creatures move under the control of a physics engine, colliding with each other, losing their balance, and then getting back up. Their goal is simple — get to the food — but the journey often devolves into a series of amusing attempts. From the outside, it's touching: like children just learning coordination, they gradually discover more stable forms of movement. The player's role is to intervene at will or simply observe. They can support the population, slightly adjust conditions, or suddenly strike with a meteorite, altering the course of evolution. Those who are most successful in obtaining food leave offspring, and with each generation, their body shapes become slightly more efficient. Features of the game Block creatures with physically correct behavior. Evolution through natural selection based on the principle of "whoever gets to the food." A free role of a deity without strict restrictions. Lack of targets and a calm pace of observation.
