ANAREA Battle Royale – a third-person arcade battle royale from AXC Games, released in Steam Early Access on August 14, 2020. The developers focused on short, close matches: the map is small, and there's no lengthy pre-battle loot collection. Less running, more shooting In many games in this genre, the first half of the match is spent searching for weapons in empty houses. In ANAREA, this phase is deliberately shortened. The map is compact, so skirmishes begin almost immediately and occur frequently. Bullet spread, which adds randomness in other shooters, is absent here: hitting a target depends on how accurately you aim. This explains the emphasis on aggressive play, where the better shot and the more courageous positioning wins. Wasteland after the disaster Matches take place on a detailed post-apocalyptic map with its own lighting and atmosphere. Supply crates, consumables, and several types of grenades drop on the battlefield. You can choose between male and female characters. After dying, you don't have to leave immediately: you can stay as a spectator and watch the rest of the match to see who wins, and the kill feed shows how the match is progressing. As you play, you earn experience, leveling up, and ranking up. Early Access and Plans At launch, the game featured solo-only matchmaking and a practice area for target practice without pressure. Duos and squads, vehicles, destructible surfaces, clans, and a battle pass were promised to be added later. The game received its latest update a while ago, but it has already been removed from the Steam store.
