Alchemist Shop Simulator – a magic shop simulator from the Polish studio Kool2Play, released on March 11, 2025. Set in a quiet medieval town, the humor is Discworld-esque: common fantasy cliches are played with irony, and clients come with rather strange woes. Shop downstairs, laboratory upstairs The ground floor houses a shop: shelves of magical goods, price tags, and customers who won't be deterred by high prices. While you might want to raise the price, the local eccentrics simply leave. As the shop's reputation grows, it can be expanded, adding new shelves and rearranging the merchandise to better sell. The main source of income, however, is the alchemist's workshop above the shop. Mortar, cauldron and recipe book Potions are brewed by hand. The ingredients are first ground in a mortar, then mixed with water or alcohol and boiled in a cauldron, stirring gently. Each component has its own properties, and the recipes in the spellbook are developed through research and experimentation. Finished potions can be offered for sale, but orders fetch higher prices: some customers come with a problem that only an alchemist can solve. Garden beds in the backyard The vendor across the street sells raw materials, but growing your own is cheaper. Herbs and mushrooms with a variety of effects grow in the backyard, from a cure for flatulence to something that unravels the fabric of reality. The plants need to be watered, and it's worth keeping some pots empty for the rare seeds found in vendors' wares. With experience and money, skills are unlocked, as are furniture for the shop and exotic goods from traveling merchants, including dangerous firesticks.
